About Me
Jellytots childminding is set in a lovely family home that provides a fun, happy, safe environment. We are situated set back in our own private driveway in the village of North Featherstone close to Normanton, Castleford and Pontefract. We have a gorgeous playroom, lots of space and a large garden with several playhouses, tents, water trays and a wide range of equipment. I aim to provide children with a variety of fun activities from den making in the garden to our own sports days, arts and crafts and even balloon modelling! We like to get out and about too and are close to lots of local parks, walks, farms and play areas, we keep our outings varied with everything from going on our own bear hunts to picnics in the park or a trip to the cinema. I believe in treating the children I look after as I would expect my own children to be treated. I love to cook and ensure the children are provided with a varied range of home cooked meals.
Funded places for eligible children are offered.
My Experience
Lots of prior experience in working with children, most importantly from being a Mum myself! I have been a childminder for 7 years and have cared for children from being newborn up to 11 years and was rated Good in all areas in all prior Ofsted inspections. Before childminding I worked for 9 years in local Children's services and have volunteered for several years in local primary schools particularly in supporting children with their reading.
My Qualifications
Paediatric First Aid trained.
Extensive Safeguarding training.
Working with Disabled Children.
Working with Autism and ADHD.
Food Hygiene Level 3.
Child Development.
Promoting Positive Behaviour
Supporting transitions
Extensive mental health and wellbeing training including Mental Health First Aid and NCFE Level 2 Mental Health Awareness.

My Availability
Jellytots is open Monday to Friday 8.00am - 6.00pm all year round except bank holidays.
Part time spaces are currently available for children aged under 5.
My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My fees are inclusive of everything (all drinks, snacks, meals and outings) - no hidden extras.
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Normanton Common Primary Academy
