My Summary

My Experience

Before starting my two year Nanny course I did 3 weeks work experience at a special needs school which I loved. Since starting college I have done a 6 month placement in a baby room in private day care where I worked with children from 3-22 months, I loved the experience. I learnt a range of skills which include: changing nappies (including cloth nappies), how to sterilise, make and give a bottle to a baby and how to put babies to sleep. I also attended a placement for children ages 2-5 years in private day care where I learnt how to help a child to toilet train and how to provide stimulating, educational activities. I then went to a state nursery where I learnt more about the educational development in the early years which was very beneficial. I then went to a primary school and had the chance to work with slightly older children which I really enjoyed. I have also done a maternity placement where I worked with 3 month old twins. Following my two year nanny course I nannied full time for a baby of 5 months and girl 10 years. Following nannying I furthered my studies and went to university and studied a BA hons Education studies with special needs and disabilities. I currently Nanny for a little boy who is 14 months old, I have looked after him since he was 2 months old. I love working with all different ages supporting each of their individual needs.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (net)
