About Me
I am the founder and Head of Provision at TIA Education, a Nottinghamshire County Council Quality Assured Alternative Provision based in Beeston, Nottinghamshire.
I am an experienced specialist teacher with an extensive background in mainstream, SEND and SEMH education, supporting children and young people from primary through to post-16.
At TIA Education, we provide personalised educational programmes for pupils who may struggle within traditional school environments. Our approach is nurturing, trauma-informed and centred around building positive relationships, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
We specialise in supporting young people with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH needs, anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA).
Our provision includes English, Maths, Functional Skills and GCSE preparation, alongside mentoring, creative activities, life skills and wellbeing support.
We offer individualised learning and small-group placements within a calm, supportive environment.
Placements are commissioned through schools and local authorities. We welcome enquiries from education professionals and families wishing to explore school or local authority-funded support.
My Experience
I have over 18 years of experience teaching and supporting children and young people across mainstream, specialist SEND and SEMH educational settings.
My teaching practice has been judged Outstanding by Ofsted on two separate occasions.
My experience includes GCSE English Language, Mathematics, Design & Technology, Art, Functional Skills, one-to-one tuition, small-group teaching and specialist educational mentoring.
I have extensive experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, learning difficulties, SEMH needs and those who have become disengaged from education.
As founder of TIA Education, I lead a dedicated team providing personalised alternative education, focusing on academic progress, emotional wellbeing, independence and positive outcomes.
I strongly believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed, particularly those who have found mainstream education challenging.
My Qualifications
PGCE Secondary Education.
Specialist training in Autism, SEND, SEMH and supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Level 3, Safeguarding Children in Education, Safer Recruitment, Child Protection, Prevent Duty and Online Safety.
Additional professional development includes De-escalation and Behaviour Management, Allergy and Anaphylaxis Awareness (including EpiPen/AAI), Equality and Diversity, Child Exploitation, Data Protection and First Aid training.
Extensive ongoing CPD supporting children and young people across mainstream, specialist and alternative education settings.
My Availability
TIA Education is based in Beeston, Nottinghamshire, and operates Monday to Friday during term time, from 10am to 3pm.
We welcome referrals from schools and local authorities for pupils requiring alternative provision, SEND support, educational mentoring or personalised learning programmes.
Placements are available subject to current capacity and individual suitability.
Parents and carers are welcome to make enquiries, although placements are normally arranged and funded through schools or local authorities.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £40.00 per hour
Fees start from £40 per hour, plus VAT, depending on the level of support required.
TIA Education primarily accepts referrals and funded placements from schools and local authorities. Individual quotations are provided based on each pupil’s needs, timetable and level of support.
Discounted rates may be available for multiple placements commissioned by the same organisation.
