About Me
Hi, I work together with my husband and we are both Ofsted registered with a good rating (last inspection Oct 2018). We live on Wolviston Court, Billingham, and have two daughters of our own. We see ourselves as a happy medium between a single childminder, with a larger social group of children still in a home-from-home setting, but not as big as a day nursery. We offer not only home based activities but also regularly attend activities around the local area. A current typical example of a weeks activities :-
Monday am - park or home based (weather depending)
Tuesday am - childminder toddler group
Wednesday am - Land of Make Believe (Stockton)
Thursday am - Funky Feet (dancing & moving class)
Friday am - soft play (usually Fuzzy Ed's or Play Barn)
Afternoon is quiet time for little ones, and for the older pre-schoolers we do puzzles, jigsaw, baking & other games
As there are two of us (and two cars, including a 7-seater) it gives us the added bonus of being able to split groups during school holidays, whereby one can do older kids activities, and the other stays with younger ones.
During the holidays we have days out to several places, including :-
Parks (Wynyard Woodland, Ropner, Preston, Romano, Hardwick Hall country park, Kirkleatham Hall etc)
Farms (Newham Grange, Tweddles, Hall Hill, Monk Park)
Go Climb, Clip'n'Climb, Airtrail
Cinema or bowling on those not-so-nice weather days
We've even done further afield trips such as Life Centre Newcastle (on the train !), Railway museum (both at York & Shildon), Whitby, Scarborough, Sheepwash, Newby Hall, Fountains Abbey, Gibside

My Experience
We have been childminding since 2005, as well as having two children of our own. We have cared for many children ranging in age from 5 months to 14 years.
My Qualifications
We both have :-
NVQ Level 3 certificates in Childcare,
paediatric first aid trained,
food hygiene
safeguarding
DBS checks cleared
My Availability
Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.30pm (6pm extra)
We offer term-time contracts with school holiday care optional (pre-booked) but can be flexible to your needs and can offer flexible days for parents on rota's, providing it's for a minimum of 3 days a week, Monday to Friday, and subject to availability

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
Full Day (7.30am to 5.30pm) £30 fixed days / £34 flexible days*
Half Day (7.30am to 12.30pm or 12.30pm to 5.30pm) £20 fixed days / £24 flexible days*
Before School (7.30am to school drop-off) £3.50
After School (school pick-up to 5.30pm) £7.50
5.30pm to 6pm £2 extra
School pick up requiring use of car (non-Wolviston Court schools) £1 extra per child per journey
*subject to availability / minimum of 3 days per week

After using day nursery for my children for many years I was hesitant of using a childminder. I visited Rachael and David’s house with my daughter and she absolutely loved it, nearly 2 years on and she still loves going there! My son who was non verbal at the time also started and they are fantastic with him! I wouldn’t chose anyone else to look after my children now and always know they are in safe hands with Rachael and David! The prices are affordable and they always ensure the little ones have fun activities during the day! Would highly recommend to anyone
