About Me
My name is Emma Thompson, I live in South Lowestoft close to the beach. I have been a registered childminder since 2009. I am married and am a mother to 3 boys, 2 now grown up and nanny to our granddaughters Rosie and Elodie. Our youngest son still lives at home with us and attenda Lowestoft Sixth form college. I offer a welcoming, inclusive and active setting based in a purpose built cabin in our garden. We spend lots of time outdoors in the mornings at the local woods, beaches and parks and are regulars at local groups at waveney gymnastics club. Afternoons offer children the choice of quieter activities at the setting inside or out in the garden, or I have a sleeping area available for those who still need to nap.
My Experience
I have experience looking after children from birth - school. I have cared for children with allergies and particular dietary needs. I accept 2, 3 and 4 year old funding. I track children's progress using Tapestry online learning journeys.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 3 childcare qualification. I stay up to date with current requirements through monthly training. I hold a paediatric first aid qualification and am a registered forest care provider.
