About Me
Hi, I am Laura and I live with my husband and three children. I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder and work Monday to Friday covering St Francis of Assisi primary school and nursery. I have a large play room with lots of different age range equipment, toys and natural resources. The secure garden has a large range of outdoor equipment suitable for all age ranges. Care is available from birth to 12 years of age. I work alongside other childminders meaning the children in my care engage with a mixed group of children. I like to be outside as much as possible and visit forest school, messy play, toddlers, museums and parks on a regular basis. Other days out also take place in school holidays along side other childminders, this is weather dependent but always find something suitable for all age ranges. I am available for before and after school care covering St Francis of Assisi.
My Experience
I have studied childcare from leaving school through collage and university. I have worked in many different childcare settings including private and school nurseries, classrooms, special needs schools and home settings. Having three young children has also given me a wealth of experience and love how everyday is different.
My Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts in Childhood and the Arts.
Btec national diploma in childhood studies.
Level 2 food hygiene.
ITC level 3 paediatric first aid.
Safeguarding, nominated person and prevent duty.
Childminder professional development.
NVQ working with others, Creativity and Development in Children, Applying design & creativity, Human growth & development, Practices in Child care, Early childhood learning, psychological aspects of child development, Sociological aspects of child development, learning activities and play, nutrition & diet, children with special needs.
Supporting children with learning difficulties course.
Recently recieved 5 star food hygiene award.

It is a very daunting experience leaving your precious child with a stranger when you are returning to work, however, from day dot Laura provided much reassurance that my children would be well looked after, loved, nurtured and most importantly safe in her care. She has demonstrated all of the above on numerous occasions. Her home is set up so that children have their own area to play and learn. She monitors their behaviour, safety and development closely. She is very keen for children to explore the area we live and most days the children are off on another adventure to a park or role play centre. Being a mum herself has prepared her for all eventualities, she is extremely caring and very concentious. All children in her care are treat fairly and with respect. Laura you are wonderful and we are so pleased we found you.

Laura is an absolute natural with children; children in her care are kept extremely safe and enjoy a fun, stimulating and creative environment in her setting. My son loves Laura and her family and gets upset whenever he has to leave. Laura makes sure children enjoy their time with her as well as setting important, fair and structured boundaries in order to help them grow and develop into independent, happy, young people. Would recommend Laura’s Childminding whole-heartedly!
