My Summary
About Me
My name is Bev and I am married with 2 children. We live in Gurney Slade a small village near Chilcompton, Somerset. We have a dedicated playroom which is full of toys and a large enclosed garden with sand and water play, climbing frame, swings and lots of space to play. I offer a caring homely environment, whilst following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Child led and free play is encouraged, there are themes and activities throughout the year which the children are encouraged to participate in but it is not essential. Use of the great outdoors is encouraged and I aim to get out and about daily and in all weathers. After juggling child care and full time work myself, I know how important it is to find superb quality child care for your children. I aim to provide a setting that both children and parents will love and enjoy.
My Experience
I have been working with children for over 25 years and have experience of working with children of all ages and their families. I have worked in a variety of different early years settings including Nannying, Day Nursery and Holiday Play schemes. I have also worked as a Family Support Worker within a Children’s Centre working closely with children and their families, and as a Nurture Group Leader working one to one and with small groups of older children in a Primary School.

I work Monday - Friday 7.30am - 6.30pm all year round. I provide term time only placements and school holiday care.
