Hi, my name is Laura.
I am a responsible, caring and fun person who is motivated to provide the best for children. I aim to provide a safe and stimulating environment that encourages all aspects of a child’s development and caters to their individual needs.
I enjoy getting out every day to different groups and activities and aim to promote a love for the outdoors, whatever the weather. I also love messy activities with lots of sensory play for very young children and more creative arts and crafts for those that are slightly older.
I am also a mum to an amazing little boy born April 2020.
My Experience
I have been a nanny for 11 years and have a total of 15 years childcare experience. I have worked with children of all ages but mainly nannied for those under the age of 7 years, in both permanent and temporary positions. I have also cared for twins and multiple children of similar ages.
For each family I catered for their individual daily needs and routine. This includes providing breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared from scratch when requested. Creating a variety of activities including sensory play, painting, cooking, stories, trips to groups and classes, forest school, the library, park, shop etc where I aim to promote learning as much as possible. For the older children I carried out the school drop off and pick up routines and also helped with homework when necessary.
I originally trained as a primary school teacher specialising in the early years before working for a holiday company in Greece & the Alps caring for children aged 0-13.
My Qualifications
BEd (Hons) Primary: Early Childhood Studies - Grade: 2:1 with Qualified Teacher Status
BTEC National Diploma in Early Years - Grade: Triple Merit
Paediatric First Aid
Ofsted registered
Clean driving license for over 16 years
My Availability
Looking for 3+ full days to start from 23rd February, possibility of earlier for the right family
Hours roughly 8.30-5pm (not available after 5.30pm & not looking for just before and after school)
My Fees
- Nannying from £19.00 per hour (gross)
Negotiable, dependent on requirements and number of hours
