About Me

Hi,

My name is Kathryn. I am 31 years-old (female). I am looking for a Friday job either full day or half can be flexible.

I have a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education and when it comes to child care experience I have nannied professionally for families for 10 years who have all been a pleasure to work with. I have worked with children aged between 6 months and 10 years.

Working with children is a great passion of mine, I'm fun, energetic, kind but firm when necessary, pro-active and very hands on. I have always loved the company of children. I enjoy watching them grow and develop and encouraging them to learn about all aspects of life.

Qualities I have that I think make me a great nanny;
I am organised, proactive and self-motivated within both my roles and personal life, as a nanny I aim to be flexible, where possible, reliable, honest and hard-working. I believe this allows me to build trust with the families to ensure they feel comfortable entrusting me with their children and into their lives. I am enthusiastic regarding my career, and find the best way to approach childcare is to be bright, smiley and patient, showing the child, and their parents that I am kind and caring but firm when necessary. I believe I have a natural ability to bond with children, due to my experience and personality, but on top of this I also have a good imagination that allows me to plan activities and games that gain the interest of children and help their development. My role as a full-time nanny has allowed me to evolve my skills; such as my ability to communicate and manage my time efficiently, as well as my ability to stay calm under pressure and cope well with unexpected situations.

I have a clean driving license with my own car, an up-to-date DBS and Paediatric First Aid certificate and checkable references upon request.

I grew up in quite a large family with an older brother and sister and lots of cousins around so being in the presence of children, having a can-do attitude and being busy are things that have always been a part of my life.

When it comes to leisure, I take pleasure in the simple things in life. I enjoy being outdoors, keeping fit, spending time with my friends and family, going for long walks, visiting new places abroad and in the UK. Passions of mine include going to the theatre, listening to music and reading a good book, cooking, baking and experiment with new recipes.
