About Me
We are a family of 4. Me and my husband are parents to two lovely girls (6 and 3 year old).
We are looking for a (preferably Italian-speaking) nanny that can primarily help us manage afterschool schedules starting from September/October. We are flexible on dates.
We are open to both live-in and live-out positions and we would ideally hire someone that can also be available for school morning drop offs on some days, evening-baby sitting and/or some light housekeeping/cooking/errands.
My Requirements
We are looking for a live-in or live-out nanny to manage the afternoon schedule of our 6 year old and 3 year old girls.
Both of them will be going to the same school (a 15/20 mins walk from home or short bus ride). The nanny will be required to pick them up from school and accompany them to after-school activities, arrange play-dates and/or help them in their home works/studies.
The nanny will be responsible for their meals and general care (including bath and sleep routine) ensure their clothes are clean and their rooms/toys are tidy.
After-school activities will take place between 3pm and 8pm. On Friday, between 12 and 7pm.
Being Italian (with English husband), we’ll prioritise an Italian-speaking nanny to ensure they continue to remain exposed to the language. But we will consider non-Italian speaking candidates too.
The role will also require some light house keeping, such as keeping the kitchen clean, some ironing, food shopping and cooking for the family. Errands (such as parcel returns, clothes shopping for the girls, dry cleaning drop off and pick up) may also occasional be required.
For a live-in position we will request some school drop offs.
We anticipate that this role will require 35/40 hrs per week.
The position is in Richmond / Old deer park.

Amanda has worked for my family for two months December 2020 to February 2021, looking after our newborn daughter Alessandra. When I hired Amanda I was looking for a maternity nurse for a short period after birth, to help me while I was adjusting to the new routine with two small children.
I knew it was important for me to find someone that had solid experience with newborn so that I would be comfortable leaving her in sole charge of my daughter. But also it was essential that the person I hire could provide psychological support to me in those emotional weeks immediately after birth.
From the time Amanda walked into out house, we knew that we had found the right person for the job. Amanda is the safest pair of hands when it comes to looking after “your most precious asset” and her knowledge of all things related to young babies was clear from the beginning. She would pick up a crying Alessandra and immediately understand what she needed, whether it was food, burping or sleeping…
I was most impressed with her natural connection with Alessandra. She has a real passion for babies and her first question in the morning was always “how is the little one?”. Every day she displayed so much affection for my daughter that really warmed my heart.
During her days with us, her tasks included looking after our daughter (feeding, changing, taking her out for a walk, stimulating her during awake time, putting her to sleep and comfort her) as well as ancillary activities such as sterilising feeding equipment and doing the baby’s laundry. She is efficient, organised and energetic and all the house related tasks were completed in a blink of an eye. In addition, she has a very good eye for other things that might need doing around the house and she occasionally put out our own laundry, did some grocery shopping, prepared food for me and for our older daughter and made up her room. Her approachability made everything so much easier for me, as she lifted me of so many chores.
Amanda is an extremely sociable and fun individual and bonded very well with us. As she worked with us during lockdown, we were always in the house and yet her presence was never intrusive. Having her around was always a pleasure and I did enjoy our chats.
I would strongly recommend any parent to hire Amanda to look after their newborn as well as any other children.
Best regards
Lucia
