About Me
Dear Parents,
My name is Katia, and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Maida Vale, W9, just next to Paddington Recreation Ground. I have been living in London since 2016 and working with children for over 15 years.
I provide a warm, safe, loving, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, explore, and feel truly at home. I strongly believe that every child learns best through play, routine, emotional security, and positive relationships.
Our days are filled with fun and educational experiences, including:
• Library sessions and singing groups
• Outdoor adventures in parks and nature
• Messy play and creative activities
• Sensory and Montessori-inspired learning
• Music, stories, movement, and role play
• Bilingual exposure in English and Italian
I love creating meaningful experiences that support children’s confidence, independence, communication, and emotional wellbeing, while also building strong partnerships with families.
I offer a caring home-from-home environment with small groups, individual attention, healthy homemade meals, and plenty of outdoor time.

My Experience
My journey with children started in Italy, where I worked as a children’s entertainer and activity leader in holiday resorts, travelling across Europe while managing and caring for large groups of children of different ages. This experience taught me how to create fun, engaging, and inclusive environments where children feel happy, confident, and safe. I later became a swimming teacher for children, helping them build confidence, independence, and important life skills through fun and engaging activities.
I then moved to England and worked as a nanny, specialising in babies, routines, and weaning. Over the years, my passion for childcare grew so much that I decided to complete my training and open my own home-based childminding setting: BuzzBee Childminder.
My Qualifications
Introductory Training Course: Foundations in childcare to support safe and effective care practices.
Common Core Training for Childcare Register: Knowledge of the essential skills and responsibilities required for a childminder.
Nutrition for Early Years: Focused on child nutrition and the importance of healthy eating during early childhood.
Safeguarding Children: Ensuring a safe and protective environment, with a deep understanding of safeguarding procedures.
Food Hygiene: Training in safe food handling and hygiene practices.
Swimming Teacher Qualification: Certified in teaching swimming to children and adults, including those with special needs.
Level 3 Paediatric First Aid: Expertise in providing emergency first aid for babies and children.
DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service): Enhanced background check, ensuring a safe and secure environment for children.

I cannot recommend Katia Attisani highly enough as a childminder. She is truly exceptional. Her organisational skills are outstanding, and everything is always thoughtfully planned and structured, creating a calm and secure environment for the children.

The activities are always creative and educational — from messy play and gardening to library sessions and outdoor adventures. Communication with parents is excellent, and we always receive thoughtful updates about the children’s day and development. Katia’s experience with children really shows in everything she does. Highly recommended for multicultural families looking for a caring and enriching environment.

Katia is a brilliant childminder. She is warm and caring of her charges, and extremely well informed about their developmental milestones. She has endless energy and always has new ideas for games and activities for the children. At BuzzBee she has a created a loving and safe environment for children to develop and thrive, not to mention the delicious Italian lunches they eat every day! I recommend her very highly.
