I am Ofsted Registered childminder and experience mother, with a proven track record in raising my own children in a strong family setting. I have four children, all grown up. I live with my husband and my youngest son who is 18 years and in fulltime education. I have experience in all round childcare, with enthusiasm and the proven ability to understand children's needs through my well over 10 years of experience on looking after children. I am an open-minded, outgoing and resourceful childminder with a sound background and optimistic outlook. I possess a good sense of humour and the ability to develop and motivate children, coupled with the ability to communicate at all levels, thereby ensuring good teamwork with parents/carers, an energetic and productive working environment.
As Ofsted registered childminder, I run my setting proffessionally and committed to providing a friendly and safe environment for the children in my care. My aim is to provide children in my care with fun, stimulating learning opportunities according to thier age and stage of development through play and every day acvtivities. I provide a nutritious and balanced diet, and ensure that children have healthy choices on food.
As a childminder, my experience includes, taking children out everyday to different playgroup, parks, and shopping centres. I interacti with children during their play and activities. I communicate with them, reading and demonstrating things to them, questioning them trying to find out what they are doing, demonstrating ideas on equipment’s that I provide.
I make sure that children’s time in my care is happy and productive by providing materials that each and everyone of them would benefit from.
I help children with their immediate needs such as washing, dressing and maintaining their personal hygiene as well as carry out the administrative or paper work consigning their care.
I take children out every day as the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requires. By taking them out gives them the opportunity to meet other children, play with them/socialise with others. Taking them out also helps them to explore their environment. For example, exploring their communities, people and different things around them.
I have completed all the local authority training and presently doing my level 3 diploma in childcare.
I am available for both term time and all year round care depending on the needs of the family. I am quite flexible and presently supporting a family with weekend care for their son.
