About Me
Hello my name is Chan and I have always had a love for children of all ages. I am one of 4 children and I have one of my own so far. Being a mother to my 5 year old is one of my greatest achievements, sounds cliche but he is my world. We enjoy a variety of activities which include arts and crafts time watching movies, spelling time and other subjects, cooking together and he even loves to hoover!!. I believe in building a good foundation for children and to let them be free to express themselves. I try to create a safe space so my son knows he can tell me anything of concern and always rely on me, a relationship with your child is vital. I am punctual, reliable, sensible, fun and have a friendly face. Most importantly I know the needs of children. I have a clean Uk license which I have held for 11 years.
My Experience
I was brought up with 3 other siblings and was very often the babysitter while my mother would go to work. As I got older I was also often called upon to look after little cousins etc. In my adult life This still has not changed. I often babysit little cousins and friends children all of different ages.I currently work full time in a special needs school as a learning support assistant.
For my work experience at school I worked at a school for children with mild learning difficulties so I have a small knowledge on how to handle behavioural problems.
I have also previously worked as a teaching assistant in a private all years school. I assisted the teacher with all day to day duties involving the children. This included but was not limited to dissolving problems between students, taking charge of story time and other games and one one one tuition time. I am able to handle more than one child at once.
I have previously been one of the helpers at my church for the children’s lesson study.
