About Me
I am a 36 year old mum to a 9 year old boy and a 4 year old boy. Prior to having my first child I was a teacher and taught Reception children for 3 years. I have also worked in Leeds Children's hospital as a Play leader, two local nurseries, and for a children's charity. I currently have 7 children on role aged 2 to 3 years.
I currently do a lunch time drop at Henry Moore Primary School.
I am a very outdoorsy person we regularly go to the woods, Fairburn Ings and lotherton hall. we also attend a local playgroup and have trips to the library. I have a large enclosed garden with lots of trees and bushes. The children enjoy watching a squirrel that comes and putting seed out for the birds. We have a mud kitchen and the children love making mud pies and using natural resources from the trees in their play. I work with 2 assistants one is qualified to a level 2 and paediatric trained and the other has begun an apprentichip.
My Experience
I have worked with children from newborns to 18 years but specialise in Early Years Education which is what I am most passionate about. I love providing educational activities where children can learn through their play. I am also passionate about the outdoors and love taking the children outside. Children learn most from first hand experiences been outside seeing and experiencing the world. I have a large enclosed garden where children can explore, grow plants and vegetables, and hunt for minibeasts.
