About Me

Thank you for taking the time to read my application. I am a motivated, flexible and fun practitioner with a commitment to the emotional and physical wellbeing and educational development of children. I am currently studying my MSc in Child Development at UCL and am looking for ad hoc babysitting alongside my studies.

I have over 12 years of experience in childcare, mostly in a nannying capacity - working with children from newborn up to 12 years old. I hold a BA(hons) degree in Early Years and Special and Inclusive Education and am always looking for ways to study and improve my practice. I am also a qualified wilderness first aider and speak French at an intermediate level, having spent 2.5 years nannying in Paris.

I am a very active member of my gym and take part in obstacle races such as the Tough Mudder. I am a strong swimmer and very much enjoy hiking both in the UK and abroad so keeping up with active children is never an issue. Additionally I am a keen reader and love drama and the theatre.

My nannying style is very much child-led and developmentally focused; I thrive on creating activities to meet particular age-appropriate learning goals using the child’s current interests as a base. I am experienced in working with new-borns, twins, weaning, potty training, tracking and planning for developmental milestones, teaching English as a second language and home-schooling as well as forming a secure, happy and loving bond with my charges.
