My Requirements

We are a family based in Teddington looking for a kind, reliable and trustworthy after-school nanny for our 9-year-old son.

We have never needed a nanny before, but due to my new job, we now need some regular after-school support. As he is our only child, finding the right person is incredibly important to us. We are looking for someone warm, caring, responsible and genuinely interested in spending time with children.

The role would include school pick-up, taking him to his after-school activities, helping with homework when needed, and spending time with him at home playing games, reading or keeping him engaged.

Ideally, we would love someone who has their own car and is comfortable driving locally to activities such as swimming, Scouts, tutoring or other clubs.

We are looking for someone who is calm, organised, dependable and able to build a positive relationship with him over time.

Requirements
We are ideally looking for someone who:

Has experience looking after children around 9 years old

Has a valid DBS check, or is willing to obtain one

Has references we can contact

Has their own car and a clean driving licence

Is reliable, punctual and kind

Can help with homework and after-school routines

Enjoys playing games and engaging with children

Hours
We are mainly looking for after-school help during the week. Exact days and times can be discussed, but likely from school pick-up until early evening.

We are considering support from the new academic year, but may start earlier if we find the right person.
