Hi, I’m Karen. I have been a nanny for over 31 years.
Sadly, I was made redundant at the end of August 2022, and so I am now available for work.
I am an extremely experienced, responsible and trustworthy live-out Nanny. Mature, educated and confident, with a genuine interest in children and their development. I am looking to share my enthusiasm and creativity as a Nanny, for a family seeking help with daily activities and childcare needs.
As a professional nanny, I take my duties seriously and pride myself in doing the job to the best of my ability. It is important to me to build a strong relationship with parents, as well as forming strong bonds with the children, helping them feel safe, secure and happy while their parents are at work. I am always interested to see children develop and learn new things, and I really enjoy getting to know their personalities.
I am a reliable, thoughtful person, who I believe would be an asset to any family.
MY AVAILABILITY:
I am looking for a 3 day a week nanny position. Preferably not a Friday. Around 25-30hrs a week.
Unfortunately I do not provide wrap around care.
My Experience
I have a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing (Childcare level 3 equivalent), Enhanced DBS checked (on the update service), up-to-date Paediatric First Aid trained, hold a full clean UK driving licence, and have my own car with business insurance. I am Ofsted registered. I am a non-smoker.
I have outstanding references.
I have been a nanny for over 31 years (apart from 6 months maternity leave in 2008) for children from birth to 11yrs.
Having only nannied for 4 families over this time (9yrs, 11yrs, 5yrs & 4yr job roles) I pride myself in the longevity of my nanny positions, and have always been part of the family and keep in regular contact with all of my ‘charges’.
I have also been working (3 sessions a week) as an Early Years Educator at a local Preschool for the past 2 years alongside my last nanny job.
Over the past 31 years, as well as being responsible for the safety, well being, care and development of the children, I have lots of experience in bottle feeding, weaning, potty training, preparing healthy meals and snacks, the undertaking of nursery duties, planning and organising age related activities (eg toddler groups, after school classes, day trips etc), school runs, overseeing homework/music practice, household management and family support.
