About Me
“Summer holidays/half term adhoc available” “One Full time place available from September” Hello Parents! My name is Shanice Doyle, I’m a Forest school Teacher turned Childminder based in Trumpington, Cambridge. I loved being a Preschool Teacher/ room Leader but chose to become a Childminder when my Daughter was born in 2019, and I’ve never looked back. I’ve found that the transferable skills I gained working at various nurseries has lead to me be able to create a wonderful growing and learning environment for the children I currently take care of. I am a patient, fun and experienced teacher who loves getting messy, singing songs and due to my forest school background I take any chance I get to playing outside with the children. My Experience
I have over a decade of childcare experience, a First Class Honours Degree in Early Years and Childhood studies, and a perfect 100% score on my Early Years Teacher Status.
My DBS, Safeguarding and First Aid training is all up to date. I have experience caring for newborns right up to 15 year olds. I also have personal experience with children with Autism and those that require additional needs support.

Our son started going to Shanice’s when he was 10 months old, and stayed with her until he started pre-school at 3.5 years old. Shanice is really passionate about her education work with kids, and goes above and beyond in every way.
Our son was instantly comfortable with her, and she remains one of the adults he is close to. She provides a range of engaging activities and educational opportunities- our son helped grow sunflowers, had pen pals in Uganda, and watched caterpillars grow into butterflies, among many other activities.
We’ve also been very impressed with how Shanice supports the kids’ communication and emotional development. When our son had a conflict situation (over sharing a toy), she helped all sides communicate, express feelings, and learn to do so gently.
We feel very fortunate that our son has had such a good start in life with Shanice as his childminder, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a home away from home for their little ones.

My son started with Shanice when he was about 10months old (he’s now nearly 3) and I am so pleased we trusted her to look after him. He was born prematurely so I was anxious about leaving him alone but Shanice gave me all the reassurance I needed. Shanice is always punctual, kind, informative, safe and my son adores her. She always has something planned for them and updates us with pictures regularly.

My daughter was looked after by Shanice for around 18 months. She absolutely loved going to Shanice, she made good friends with her daughter who was the same age which was lovely. Shanice was always accommodating to whatever my daughter needed. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder.
