Hello, and welcome to my profile! Thank you for stopping by :o) I am a friendly, laid back and easy going childminder with well over a decade of experience. I have two children of my own - a twenty four year old daughter and a seventeen year old son. We live with our little dog (a chihuahua x dachshund), in a relaxed family home in West reading, near to Prospect Park.
I work with children of all ages. The youngest child that I have looked after was just four weeks old! The eldest has been twelve. I have experience with twins and also children with special needs. My pick up school is Battle Primary. (Please note - I do not collect from any other schools.) I welcome children into a warm, family atmosphere. I offer plenty of learning opportunities, as well as cuddles, laughs and fun! I absolutely love my job, and I think it shows in the great relationships I have with the children I look after, and their parents/carers. It is really important to me that the children and adults I work with feel valued and part of the family. I have a GOOD grading from Ofsted, which was awarded to me in January 2023.
I have an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development, and have plenty of experience with children who have SEN (Special Educational Needs) and EAL (English as an Additional Language).
My Experience
As well as being a childminder, I have also had plenty of opportunities to make my voice heard with regards to the provision of childcare in Reading! I was on the advisory board when the Oxford Road Childrens Centre was set up, giving advice as a childminder, representing parents in the west Reading area. I was then on the panel when the Oxford Road and Calcot Childrens centres merged.
My Qualifications
NVQ Level Three - Childcare, Learning and Development, Pediatric First Aid, Safe guarding Children, Food safety and hygiene.
My Availability
I currently have one space for a 0-5 year old, and one space for a school aged child. My hours are flexible, so please get in contact to discuss your requirements.

I had the chance to let my two children with Vic whilst I was busy settling in the new area and getting my new job sorted (single dad).
They have been delighted!!! (9 and 11)
Not only she took extra care of them but they had a great time. Food was really good and healthy.
And they had various activities: from going to the park to even going to the movies to art!
