About Me
My name is Jo I am an Ofsted registered Childminder living in Hornchurch area. We have had a recent inspection which we are proud to announce that we got rated GOOD. I have completed my NCFE CACHE Preparing to work in home based Childcare level 3 childminding course and paediatric first aid course. I am married and have two children of my own.
I have been child minding for nearly three years and love my job.
This was a career change for me as I used to work in the emergency services but have always been around/ looked after children as my mum was a foster carer when I was growing up and I would help out regularly. I love being around children and have two children of my own.
I offer Term time only care, the children are cared for in a safe and clean enviroment, providing lots of opportunities to learn, develop and grow to their full potential. I have a wide range of resources for all age children within my setting and I will enhance children's learning by taking them out of the setting to toddler groups, parks, farms and the library.
I offer pick ups and drop offs at Scotts Primary School in Hornchurch.

My Experience
I have always been around children as my mum was a foster career whilst I was growing up and I would often help take care of them. I am also a mum to two children.
My Qualifications

My Availability
From September I may have availability for a child in early years age group 0- reception as I have a parent going on Maternity leave.

After my childminder increased her prices out of my affordability I was urgently searching for a new one. Jo was recommended to me but I was slightly hesitant as she was so new to childminding. Fast forward a year and I’m hesitant to leave her for preschool when the time is here. My daughter absolutely loves Jo and her children. Every single day I receive lots of photos of what they’ve been up, no two days are the same. Maci has come on so much with Jo, she really does love going every morning and bounces out at the end of the day. We’ve worked through some things together, like Maci not wanting to nap all of a sudden both at the setting and at home, Jo’s asked what she could do, what I do at home and now we’re both back to her sleeping happily. Jo has also taken my Son for the odd day when school is closed, he now asks when he can go again! I didn’t think I could get a childminder as good as what I had but then along came Jo. Maci is also able to socialise with more children as jo works closely with another childminder, she is so comfortable with them both which is great for times when Jo might not be available as I know she’s got a great cover ready. As awful as it sounds I don’t worry about my daughter when I’m at work as I feel so relaxed where she is and I know she’s having much more fun than I am. I would highly recommend Jo.
