About Me
Currently a stay-at-home mum of three year old twins, I am a former Montessori teacher and (much longer ago!) nanny. If you're not ready for nursery or a childminder setting yet, but want some regular or ad-hoc help so you can have some time to yourself, perhaps I can help? I'm available during the mornings when my daughters are at school, and can offer some evening babysitting too.
Originally I'm from Yorkshire but have lived in London for almost 14 years. I love living in Bethnal Green and I love raising my children here - the canals, parks, city farms, Sing and Sign classes, children's centres, libraries, Young V&A, we are very lucky!
I try to raise my daughters with Montessori principles in mind. We spend a lot of time scooting around, going to the park, singing, reading books, going to the museum and library and a bit of baking. I am very into knitting and they enjoy playing with yarn and doing their own creative projects.
On Friday mornings, I run a free, drop-in baby and toddler group at Bethnal Green Montessori School.
I'm sadly allergic to dogs and cats so unfortunately am not able to work in houses with these pets.
My Experience
After a year's full-time study at the Maria Montessori Institute in London, I began teaching at Bethnal Green Montessori School in 2021. It's an authentic, wonderful school for 2-6 year olds, rooted in the community and with a 30+ year history. I worked here for a year and a half before I went on maternity leave with my twins. I am currently taking a career break whilst my girls are little.
From 2010-2014 I worked as an au pair and nanny, first in Italy and then in London. During this time I looked after nine lovely children aged between 10 months to six years. Each role involved sole charge of up to three children. As well as daily care and homework help, I also offered a range of craft activities including hand sewing, mobile making and booklet making, depending on the children's interests and abilities.
When I changed careers (for six years afterwards, 2014-2020, I worked in the craft industry), I continued to babysit for these and other families across London.
My Qualifications
Level 3 AMI Montessori diploma for ages 2-6, graduated in June 2021.
I also hold an enhanced DBS check.
My Availability
I'm available during the mornings (approx 9am - 1pm) whilst my girls are at school, as well as some evenings, to help with childcare for babies and children from birth onwards. I am looking to stay very local to Bethnal Green/London Fields.

- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
