Hi, I'm Heidi! I'm a bubbly, caring and creative 24 year old. I’m considered to be a bubbly, empathetic and creative individual and I feel to be working in my element when I'm with children. I love to see them learning, developing and discovering their surroundings.
I currently work as a health care assistant within a special needs school (with children with complex medical needs). Due to this being a full-time role I’m looking to provide ad-hoc (occasional) care after-school and in the holidays. I like to build a rapport with families so they feel safe and comfortable to enjoy regular evenings out/nights away with peace of mind.

*Disclamer* My PFA is out of date, however I have more thorough training due to my current role I provide medical care to children with complex health needs on a daily basis.
My Experience
I have had many varied opportunities caring for children that have helped me increase my knowledge and skills. I currently work within a special needs school as a health care assistant (with children with complex medical needs), but I have also worked as a nursery key person, babysitter, summer camp assistant, after-school club assistant, teaching assistant and also a healthcare assistant within some children wards. I am considered empathetic, bubbly and caring; therefore, I find huge fulfillment supporting children in their educational and social development. Also, I am highly creative and imaginative, so I love ‘mucking-in’ and being able to play alongside any children in my care. I am also a responsible and highly organized individual, which has always helped me within my childcare roles.
I hold a full UK driving licence so I am able to do pick-up/drop-offs and also take the child(ren) on trips out. I am also fully DBS checked and have a paediatric first-aid certificate.

A wide variety of medical knowledge and skills (including gastrostomy feeding, tracheostomy care, oral suctioning, NG tube feeding, administering medication).
I have 5 Cs, 4 Bs and an A at GCSE.
I achieved 3 A-levels.
My Availability
Evening, weekend, overnight and out-of-school care. During term times I am only able to provide care from 4:30pm.
Overnight care Sunday-Thursday only available during school holidays (unless discussed otherwise).

I have a full UK drivers license and my own car so I am able to travel to bookings however I will require a small payment towards petrol costs if I have to travel a larger distance from my home address.
