About Me
I am a nanny and I was also a childminder for 18 years
I still feel so privileged to be in such a position of trust.
We now have three adult girls and I strive to ensure I treat children with respect and they in turn are able to feel happy and confident in my care.
We create many play opportunities such as dressing up, putting on shows,creating,making,cooking,building messy play and quiet moments!
We always enjoy trips out and venture to farms,zoos mazes,indoor/outdoor pay areas,libraries,museums,toddler groups and events.
I feel childhood is a special time and is over too soon. I try to instil old fashioned fun and family values into our daily routine.
My Experience
As aforementioned I have devised and toured drama workshops for children.
For two years I was a youth leader in a centre near Bath.
Playscheme coordinator for a Bristol based playscheme.
Playscheme cooerdinator for Barnet council for two years. Adventure play worker in a playcentre in Bristol and Hackney.
Stagecoach drama tutor in Stevenage for six years ages four to seven.
Ofsted registered childminder for eight years.
School travel assistant for Herts county council,helping parents set up and sustain walking incentives such as walking bus
Tour to CHIPS playschemes in Hertfordshire drama and dance workshops.

My Availability
Our doors are open from 7.30am to 6.30 Monday to Friday.
Please contact me should you wish for care outside these times.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £17.50 per hour
- Nannying from £16.50 per hour (gross)
£4.25 an hour includes all food and toddler group fees
£6.50 sibling rate between two,applicable for full time care and during the holidays.

When I moved to Stevenage, I interviewed a number of childminders for my toddler daughter, and Ruth was head and shoulders above them all.
She is warm, funny, and kind, with a wonderful open nature. You can't help but like her!
She has three amazing daughters of her own, each of them articulate, confident and happy. They're a testament to her and her husband.
I'm completely confident when I leave my daughter with Ruth. I know she'll have a fun-filled day, that she'll be safe, and that all her needs will be met with warmth and care.
My daughter always goes to Ruth with a big smile and open arms - we even have a little song that we sing especially when we're driving to her house!
I honestly can't recommend Ruth highly enough. I'm more than happy to be contacted for a more detailed recommendation if you need reassurance (I know how daunting it can be leaving your little one with someone else).
Do yourself a favour. If you need a childminder, call Ruth. In the words of Tina Turner ; She's simply the best.

To any one wanting a childminder , i would highly recomentdRuth, she is a wonderfull person and a fantastic childminder. Ruth has been the child minder for my 9 month old Daughter Emma and my 3 Year old Granddaughter Isabella, since Jan 2012. What can i say about this lady? well i don't know where to start, she is great, she is trust worthy, kind, honest, careing, funny, My daughter and granddaughter adore her, she is reasonable in price and will accommodate you and your needs to the best of her ability, if you have any problems she is more than happy to help you try and sort them out. My daughter and grandaughter always come home happy and can not wait to go and see her the next day, we have never had a child minder before and were so lucky when we found Ruth and i hope she looks after my daughter and granddaughter untill they do not need her any more, as i never want to loose her, I knew the first time i meet Ruth that she was the person i was looking for , so if you are looking for a childminder you don't need to look any further , TRUST ME YOU HAVE FOUND THE RIGHT PERSON , you would be making a big mistake if you let her slip through your fingers and look elles where.
