About Me
My name is Helen and I've been married to John for 24 years. We have five daughters who are aged 22,21,20,18 and 7
I’ve worked in childcare for 24 years,I worked as a Nanny for 3 years and then moved to private nurseries where I ended up as nursery manager sorting and organising up to 70 children and a team of staff. In 2012 I studied for my HNC in healthcare and became a Community support worker where I worked alongside parents with newborn children and young children,youths and also joined up to tackle homelessness in Edinburgh.
Early 2016 I started my application for childminding and was running a mums and tots in my local community centre,it was a huge success and was popular from newborns to preschoolers (hoping to open again this summer after it being shut due to covid)
For the last 10 years I have also ran a local playscheme twice a year (pre pandemic) for P1-P7 children.
When my girls were younger I also put my hand to being a brownie leader,which was a lot of fun!
