About Me

My name is Helen and I've been married to John for 26years. We have five daughters who are aged 25,24,22,20 and 9.
I’ve worked in childcare for 26years,I worked as a Nanny for 3 years and then moved to private nurseries where I ended up as nursery manager sorting and organising up to 70 children and a team of staff. In 2012 I studied for my HNC in healthcare and became a Community support worker where I worked alongside parents with newborn children and young children,youths and also joined up to tackle homelessness in Edinburgh.
Early 2016 I started my application for childminding and was running a mums and tots in my local community centre,it was a huge success and was popular from newborns to preschoolers
For the last 10 years I have also ran a local playscheme twice a year (pre pandemic) for P1-P7 children.
When my girls were younger I also put my hand to being a brownie leader,which was a lot of fun!
