About Me

I have a nearly 9 yr old, going into primary 5 after the summer. She is awaiting assessment for neuro divergence, and she's really behind in her maths and English. She is being assessed for dyslexia and they feel she most likely has dyslexia but too young yet for formal diagnosis.
She really struggles with reading.
I do think she has dyscalculia too.

I feel she needs extra help out with school and unfortunately I don't have the skills to do this.

I suggested a tutor at her last parents evening but the school advised against it as apparently they don't teach the same way as the school teach the children and this may cause further confusion. However, I've seen no progress and feel like I have to at least try a tutor to try and help her.
