very poor communication

Assouma started working with my family some months ago. She interviewed well, very pleasant and kind when she came for her trail day. I felt she would fit in well with us. I have twins, they are 4 years old and we have a live in nanny Monday to Friday. I work on Saturdays and we needed Assouma to help on Saturdays.
For the first 3 weeks my mother helped with the transition, helped with cooking for the kids and showing her the ropes. When Assouma had sole care she was fine, no complaints.
A couple of weeks working with us she submitted her holiday dates 30th July-20th August 2022. I found cover for the dates given. Two weeks into her holiday Assouma sent me a series of text messages to notify that she would be coming back early. She asked if I needed her on the Saturday. I responded to her first few messages and wished her a safe flight back. I did not respond to her message regarding help on the Saturday as I was busy. A couple of days later she sent me another message saying that ‘due to my lack of communication she has found another job. I was a little confused and surprised at her message. I immediately texted back asking her to call, she did not. I called her twice and on both occasions she declined my calls. I followed up with another text and to date no response.

My confusion here is that she gave me her holiday dates, she then decided to come back early and expected me to rearrange my diary and that of the covering nanny to suit her demands.
Her lack of communication is telling of her character. I hope she does not do this to another family.

Unreliable

Sorry to write this review. Dounia worked with my family for some months. She is very pleasant, has a great attitude and gets on well with the children. She worked on Saturdays only with us and was unrealisable and not punctual. On several occasions she failed to show up, did not communicate which left me in a state trying to arrange cover.
Overall very disappointed.

Hi as I already told you I was in a difficult situation with my flatmate at that time and couldn’t make it I did give you the notice a week before ( as soon as I knew it ).
I was really flexible with you and have stayed very late sometimes so I thought you could understand, emergency can happened unexpected in the life of anyone but anyway it was a pleasure to work with you and you’re kids I wish you the best .
