My Summary
Home Based Childcare Setting
About Me
At Hayley’s House we offer a warm, welcoming home-from-home childcare setting where children can feel safe, secure and truly part of our extended family.
Our environment is intentionally different from a traditional nursery. We want children to feel comfortable and relaxed while still benefiting from high-quality early years education, meaningful learning opportunities and experienced, caring practitioners.
I believe children learn best when they feel happy, confident and supported. Our days are centred around child-led play, exploration and real-life experiences, with plenty of opportunities to develop independence, build friendships and follow individual interests. Children are encouraged to explore freely between our indoor and outdoor spaces, with learning naturally woven into their everyday play and routines.
We care for children across a range of ages, creating a lovely family-style atmosphere where younger and older children can learn alongside one another. Our approach combines the EYFS with elements of Montessori, Forest School, loose-parts play and outdoor learning, allowing children to develop at their own pace while preparing them with the confidence, independence and skills they need for their next stage.
Most importantly, I want Hayley’s House to feel like a second home – somewhere children are known as individuals, relationships with families are valued, and every child feels loved, included and excited to come through the door.
My Experience
I began my childcare journey as a childminder, caring for children within my own home and building a setting around the values that have always been important to me – warmth, consistency, strong relationships and creating a genuine home-from-home environment.
As the setting has grown, I now run a small childcare setting from home alongside a close-knit team, while still keeping the personal, family feel that was at the heart of my original childminding approach.
I am also a mum of two children who are now in their early adulthood, so I have many years of first-hand experience of the different stages of childhood and the changing needs of families. Having also been a working parent myself, I understand how difficult it can be to balance work, family life and childcare, and how important it is to know that your child is somewhere they feel safe, happy and genuinely cared for.
This experience has shaped the way I run my setting. I aim to offer families not just reliable childcare, but reassurance, flexibility, good communication and a setting where parents can feel confident that their child is being cared for as an individual.

Its a big thing asking someone to look after your world when you need to work. But Hayley and her team are amazing. I feel at ease knowing my son is so looked after, which take alot of pressure and guilt away. My son is happy to see Hayley greeting him at the door in the mornings and getting updates of photos during my work days is a real boost for me and my husband. I would not want my son anywhere else and cannot recommend Hayley and her team enough.
Thank you for all that you do x

Hayley has provided my two children with a fantastic home from home and I couldn’t have wished for a better introduction to childcare for my youngest who was 8 months when he started there. Hayley is super caring and always ready with cuddles if they are not feeling on top form, my two adore her and the rest of her family!
I have no idea how Hayley’s house is always super clean and tidy despite the fact she has so much fun stuff to keep the kids entertained. They have loved playing in the garden all summer with the paddling pool and giant football and have also enjoyed arts and crafts indoors. Hayley takes them to some groups and they’ve loved outings to the farm and aquarium.
We have been super impressed Hayley’s professional approach to childminding. The Baby’s Day’s app is a great tool for keeping up to date on everything and Hayley updates some great photos of all the fun they have.
We’re only moving on due to changes in work and would highly recommend Hayley to any prospective parents.

I was initially nervous about putting my daughter into a childminder setting, after 18 months of being in nursery full time with lots of children, but now I wish I’d done it sooner. My little girl has come on leaps and bounds since being with Hayley.
She can do all her letters, which is well beyond her age and that’s totally down to Hayley and the learning through play that they do.
They do activities and crafts that i’d never dream up in a million years, and I beam with pride with every photo and video update we get on Baby’s Days.
They regularly go to groups so I never have concerns about my daughter not socialising with lots of children her age.
My daughter eats really well with Hayley, lots of varied and healthy foods.
Most of all, I know she is loved and nurtured and she is just so happy. She looks forward to Hayley days every week.
