About Me

I am an experienced qualified primary school teacher who has experience of Early Years, KS1, KS2 and teaching in an Autistic centre.

I have a BA hons degree in Primary Education with QTS from St Mary's University. I have countless years of experience working with children as I also hold 2 qualifications in childcare and have also worked in nurseries. I have been a Beaver Scout Leader and I am currently the Inclusion Advisor for my scout district.

Within my teaching career, I have gained vast experience with working with children with special educational needs and helping children to progress is a passion of mine. I have a love of animals and have experience with many different mammals and reptiles.

My Experience

During my time working as a nursery nurse is a nursery I spent time working with each age range; ensuring that the EYFS is adhered to and embedded in all aspects of learning and that all specific needs were cared for. Since becoming a qualified teacher, I have gained vast experience teaching a variety of age ranges from early years to Year 6. In my day to day class management, I ensure that every lesson is tailored to each and every child's individual needs. I have a passion for ensuring that children with different learning needs can access the learning and make individual progress. I am also a Beaver Scout Leader, which I have been doing since 2012. Through this I have been able to build up an extensive range of skills for working with children.

I have 2 beautiful children, 2 crazy dogs and 3 guinea pigs!

My Qualifications

I have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Childcare, a BA Hons in Primary Education with QTS, along with a current pediatric first aid certificate. I also have a foundation in Makaton.
