Hello parents,
I’m a 31-year-old British-Australian childminder, originally from Totnes, and so happy to be back in such a special place to raise and care for children. I’m currently in the process of becoming Ofsted registered and returning back to childminding. I am commitment to providing a safe, high-quality and nurturing environment for little ones.
I’m a naturally bubbly, warm and outgoing person, with several years of experience working in private households. I love creating a happy, calm and engaging space where children feel completely at ease to be themselves.
My approach is child-led and inspired by Montessori principles - encouraging independence, creativity and curiosity every day. Whether we’re exploring outdoors, getting stuck into arts and crafts, or learning through play, I aim to make each day fun, meaningful and full of discovery.
I see children as capable, confident individuals, and I’m passionate about supporting their growth with kindness, patience and lots of encouragement. Learning from mistakes and the little boo boo’s and learning how to be In touch with the earth and world around us. I balance structure with flexibility, following each child’s interests while gently allowing them to guide routines for positive, unforced, gentle development.
You can expect a caring, energetic childminder who will always prioritise your child’s happiness, wellbeing and those all important big smiles!

* Illustrated a greater understanding of the child’s wants and needs, at the same time building trust and support between one another
* Demonstrated safe behaviour and taught the importance of seeking adult assistance when unsure

* Assisted in the development of health and personal habits. Ensuring she ate correctly, got enough rest, remembered manners and helped with toilet training.

* Organised art/craft activities and explored self-expression through sensory play, music, song and dance, primarily for the girl 2yrs.
* Took part in daily parks trips and attended weekly activities groups
* Caring and safeguarding, removed hazards to create a safe environment for the children's best welfare.
* Managed regular tantrums and separation anxiety from mother
* Weaning the dummy, I leant tactical ways to reduce dummy time: removing the temptation, changing the subject and not using the word whilst placing a different comfort etc.
