Hi, I’m Scarlett, a passionate Forest School leader and childminder with over eight years’ experience supporting children’s growth and curiosity. I’m also a proud mum to two boys, aged seven and five, so I understand first-hand the joys and challenges of childhood.
My approach is rooted in slow pedagogy and nature-based learning. I love taking children on daily outings, exploring woods, fields, and gardens, and encouraging them to connect with the natural world around them. Every day is an opportunity for discovery, wonder, and hands-on learning.
I believe that childhood should be a balance of freedom, curiosity, and care. Whether it’s spotting wildlife on a walk, planting seeds, or building dens, I support children to learn at their own pace, develop independence, and enjoy the simple joys of nature.
I’d love to share this ethos with your child and help them flourish in a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment.
My Experience
I have eight years of experience in childcare, working across nannying, nurseries, and childminding. I am Level 3 Forest School trained, hold safeguarding training and an up-to-date DBS check, and have a Level 2 Hygiene and Food Safety certificate. My experience allows me to provide a safe, nurturing, and nature-focused environment where children can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace.

Scarlett has looked after my daughter 6 hours a week for the past 8 months. My daughter has loved their time together! They go on adventures including to the beach, woods, and to visit the farm. She has loved spending time with Scarlett’s younger son and dog and is always really excited to go with them. Scarlett is caring, communicates well and strikes a great balance between getting the kids out and about and doing things like baking with them at home. Highly recommend!

Scarlett has cared for our now 2year old for just over a year. Our daughter adores Scarlett, both her children and Bonnie the dog, she talks about her when at home and is always excited and happy to be going to see her. Scarlett is active and always keeps our daughter busy, she gets her out exploring and encourages her to try new things. We love the care and passion we have seen and would recommend Scarlett to anyone looking for childcare 😊

Scarlett has been my 9yr daughters after school carer for a few months. We love her. My daughter is very comfortable with her. Scarlett picks her up after school. They do homework. They do activities at home. She is caring and loving.
