About Me
We are warm, caring, and energetic individuals who love creating a fun and engaging environment for children. We enjoy keeping busy with a variety of creative and active experiences that support children’s learning and development.
We are truly passionate about working with children and feel privileged to be part of their early years. Our aim is to provide a safe, positive, and nurturing setting where every child can grow in confidence, explore, and thrive.
My Experience
We’re Lucy and Leila, we are experienced childcare professionals with over 10 years of combined experience in nannying and early years settings. Between us, we have worked as both nannies and nursery practitioners, caring for children aged 3 months to 7 years.
We are now bringing our experience and passion into a warm, home-based childminding environment that offers a balance of structure, care, and fun.
We are creative, energetic, and committed to supporting every child’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We provide a range of engaging, play-based activities that support both the prime and specific areas of learning, helping children to grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity.
We closely observe each child’s interests and development, using this to plan next steps and tailored activities that support their individual progress. We also work in partnership with parents, sharing regular updates to ensure consistency between home and our setting.
Our aim is to provide a safe, nurturing “home from home” environment where children feel secure, valued, and supported to thrive. We encourage a balance of child-led play and guided learning, with consistent routines that help prepare children for school and support their emotional and social development.

I have 2 young children who are cared for by Lucy and Lelia and my experience has been wonderful. They are both kind, warm and nurturing and my boys can't wait to spend their day with them. Communication is great and I feel they will do whatever they can to replicate a similar environment and routine to their home. Activities are thoughtful and fun and the setting provides a relaxed and homely environment where children can thrive. Both Lucy and Lelia are very experienced professionals and take their role in the children's lives seriously, ensuring a high standard of care is provided. I have total peace of mind and security that my children are safe and supported. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

My daughter has been attending Cosy Cubs for the past five months, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she has received. She has settled in so well and truly enjoys her time there, which gives me great peace of mind as a parent.
I was introduced to Lucy through a friend, and from the start it was clear that she has a natural gift for working with children. She has extensive experience in the childcare industry, and her calm, caring approach really shines through. Alongside Leila, they create such a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and valued.
Both Lucy and Leila have been incredibly helpful, especially with supporting my daughter through toilet training, which has made a big difference for us at home too. The setting really feels like a home-from-home, and the genuine care and affection they show the children is wonderful to see.
I would highly recommend Cosy Cubs to any parent looking for a loving and professional childcare setting.

We have put our son when he was 15 months old. At that time they were having only 2-3 children but gradually they have increased taking children and there were 2 person taking care of kids. My son was active compare to other children. As they were not able to manage my child they have put my son on (PIP) which normally understands by adults but they think my son is adult🥲. Now as they have 7 children and they need more work with my son they have decided to remove my son from her child care and keep 6 children who are more easy to handle. Can u all believe it?? So if your child is active, this is wrong place. We have asked some suggestions how we can control and direct his energy but they dont have answers. Luckily we found chilcare now where my son is more loved and welcomed and feel more safe

Hello Binita,
I’m sorry you feel that way, I know we had a challenging time with your sons behaviour which we had multiple meetings about, but I don’t think it’s fair for you to spread misinformation about my business. Your son was put on a behaviour monitoring plan which many setting do. We did not remove your son from the settings, you pulled him out if I’m not mistaken as you didn’t want to continue with the agreed plan. We have never had 7 children as the maximum we can have is 6 per day. Leila and I tried our absolute hardest to help with your son which we did offer some advice on things you could do at home. It feels a shame that this is the view you have on us. I hope you understand how damaging it can be for a small business to spread misinformation and hope you’re more careful in the future.
We hired Lucy as a nanny for over a year for our 1-2 year old son and would definitely recommend her. Lucy is a natural with young kids and great at encouraging their development through different activities, while also helping to get them into good daily routines. In particular, we were really pleased with our son's speech development and Lucy played an important part in this by talking with him throughout the day. She is also very professional in her approach and we could always rely on her to be on time and be flexible when needed. Overall we are really grateful to Lucy for the amazing childcare she provided for a son.
