About Me
Hi, i’m a mum of two (adults now) and enjoy spending time with my family, going to the cinema, shopping, travelling and keeping healthy by running. I’ve had a lot of experience with childcare in the past and after a long career as a coffee shop manageress I decided to pursue my dream and go back as a childcarer. I’m welsh speaking (second language). I have a current enhanced dbs certificate, a first aid certificate, registered with CIW as a approved childcarer and Cache (cypop 5) qualification. I’m also registered for families to claim tax-free childcare with the government. I also have my own vehicle and insured as a business and have public liability insurance.
My Experience
I’m currently working for four different families ages ranging from 2 - 6 with a newborn soon to arrive. I have worked with twins since they were just over 3 weeks old as a mother’s help to full time care once mum went back to work. I’ve also had the opportunity as a nanny to work with a family of two children age 9 and 5 also a family of 3 children aged 18 months, 6 and a 8 year old and a family of two children aged 4 and 2 and 1 year olds and under. Ive also had experience with two autistic children. Duties have included school drop off/ pick ups for the elder 2 children (of the family of 3) and a fun filled summer holidays activities for the 3 children. Ive also helped the youngest child to develop his social, physical and language skills. With the family of the 4 and 2 year old I have established a positive, safe and healthy environment at all times. Included planning and preparing nutritious home made cooking, nursery/toddler group runs and responsible for the children’s physical well being and stimulating their creative minds through play, activities and imagination to support the line of the foundation phase. Light housekeeping duties were involved in this role too. My other childcare experience has been working in nurseries 1- 3 years, nannying 1, 4 and 7 years. When I was a student I had the opportunity to work in a summer camp in America (6- 11years). Also worked in youth clubs(11-14 years) and holiday play schemes (7-11years).
My Qualifications
Cache (cypop 5) qualification, foundation and Diploma PPA (preschool), first aid (paediatric) and in the workplace, dbs enhanced certificate and CIW approved childcarer.
