About Me
Hi all you amazing parents/guardians, my name is Alex but feel free to call me Lex! I have almost 11 years experience of working with children and I am also a proud step mama!
I am qualified as an Early Years Practitioner and have worked worked primary schools and most recent long term role was in a private nursery in Hackney. I built my way up from a student all the way to a nursery room leader with experience in all rooms and ages however having experience with children in reception/year 1 also.
I am currently living my dream job as a freelance graphic designer and artist however I still offer part time nannying services and baby sitting to a range of outstanding families that I have bonded with over the last 11 years and also still look after some of my little angels from previous jobs!
I love working with children and always have, as I am able to support their educational, social and emotional needs. I am able to provide care and attention to each unique child and also follow and also still bear in mind all practices from The Early Years Foundation Stage Principles to support each child's learning and development. I believe in not only caring for the child but supporting their learning while in my care. I am trustworthy and reliable and would always provide notice in advance if I am not able to turn up to an agreed appointment (which is rare).
I have a level 3 diploma in childcare along with other training and qualifications such as working with children who may have special educational needs, first aid, epi-pen training, phonics training, 11 GCSES and 3 A-Levels, and I was also the designated safeguarding lead for my setting. I have no criminal offences (also I do NOT drive unfortunately.)

I have worked in a number of childcare settings such as:
- Woodberry Down Children’s Centre (all ages)
- William Patten Primary school (reception class children aged 4-5)
- Rooftop Nursery (Ottaway) (I carried out my work experience here and was offered a job afterwards)
- Rooftop @ Brook (moved to our second site to become Room Leader)
- Moved back to Ottaway setting and worked until I resigned.
- Currently a full time freelance artist/graphic designing and part time nanny/baby sitter!

We have started working with Alex when my son was 1 year old. She handled him with great confidence and care from the beginning. Alex is a very tustworthy, responsible and dedicated babysitter, flexible as well. We really hope she will keep sitting for us in the future.

Alex has been our babysitter for over a year now and has always been punctual and great with my 3 young children. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and consistent babysitter.

Alex is working with me since a while ago and come regularly to look after my 2 year old daughter. She is very responsive for what she has been asked for my child. She is absolutely professional, I even left my key to her due to the very early start on Saturday mornings, it has been all going well. My daughter loves to be with her, she teaches her number, colour, and puzzles etc. She taught her to sing new ryhams, and would also give me good advices and introduce me some knowledge for childcare as she has been professionally train as a private nursery team leader. Anyway, I highly admire her work ethic and will keep working with her for the future .

Alex has recently begun babysitting my 2 sons (8 months and 4 years) over an evening, on a fortnightly basis.
Alex cares for both of my boys sole charge including putting them to bed (which is no easy feat)! They both adore her with older boy always asking for Alex in the morning of the night she has babysat.
Alex is very reliable, caring, flexible, professional and experienced and is the right balance between being in charge and being very nurturing with my boys.
I would highly recommend her as a babysitter / carer for any child!

Alex has been with us as a part-time babysitter for over a year, and we highly recommend her. She keeps our 14 month-old daughter entertained and educates her. Alex is well aware of safety and also very helpful with regards to the "little things" that make our life easier.

Alex is so humble and professional , she has worked with us since my son was 10 months and is still working with us, she gets along with my son so well , that now my 1 year old sees her as auntie Alex , my family love her to bits and ive reccommended her to a few friends and family. If you are looking for a professional, friendly and very caring and tidy Baby sitter Alex is the best person.

I have a nine and a 13yo, so they are not easily won over buy people. They loved Alex, she’s just the right balance of in charge and engaging! The younger asked when she was coming again!
From my perspective, Alex was straight forward and easy to make arrangements with. She was here in plenty of time for me to get out. I felt totally at ease leaving the kids with her.

Alex is very caring, reliable and professional. My children took to her straight away and really enjoyed the time they spent with her. Alex took the time to travel to me for our first meeting and brought all her documentation..I felt at ease and trusted her instantly. Whilst my children were in her care I felt relaxed and she kept me updated which I appreciated. Cannot praise Alex enough, and would use her services again.
