About Me

Hi all you amazing parents/guardians, my name is Alex but feel free to call me Lex! I have almost 11 years experience of working with children and I am also a proud step mama!

I am qualified as an Early Years Practitioner and have worked worked primary schools and most recent long term role was in a private nursery in Hackney. I built my way up from a student all the way to a nursery room leader with experience in all rooms and ages however having experience with children in reception/year 1 also.

I am currently living my dream job as a freelance graphic designer and artist however I still offer part time nannying services and baby sitting to a range of outstanding families that I have bonded with over the last 11 years and also still look after some of my little angels from previous jobs!

I love working with children and always have, as I am able to support their educational, social and emotional needs. I am able to provide care and attention to each unique child and also follow and also still bear in mind all practices from The Early Years Foundation Stage Principles to support each child's learning and development. I believe in not only caring for the child but supporting their learning while in my care. I am trustworthy and reliable and would always provide notice in advance if I am not able to turn up to an agreed appointment (which is rare).

I have a level 3 diploma in childcare along with other training and qualifications such as working with children who may have special educational needs, first aid, epi-pen training, phonics training, 11 GCSES and 3 A-Levels, and I was also the designated safeguarding lead for my setting. I have no criminal offences (also I do NOT drive unfortunately.)
