About Me
I run a home from home where children's happiness is paramount. I have a background in science and a love of reading and crafting. I encourage the children to embrace learning in a fun relaxed manner. I have two daughters. One lives in Leicester and is a science tutor. The other lives at home and is an actor/dancer, teacher. I have two gorgeous grandsons and a wonderful son in law who teaches send children. My husband is a HGV Driver who is registered as an assistant. I have a dog and two cats who are up to date with vaccinations and health care.
I work closely with East Ardsley Primary school and with other childminders.
My Experience
I have been a childminder since 1998 and have achieved a good grade in all of my Ofsted inspections . I continue to expand my knowledge through various courses. I have cared for children with a range of needs and from the ages 2 months to 13 years.
My Qualifications
I have a certificate in early years practice which is a level 4 qualification. I also have a BSc. Hons. Open. which has several courses which are relevant and helpful in childcare. I continue to complete courses to improve my knowledge to allow me to perform at my best. I have a current First Aid certificate and i am registered with the ICO.

I have vacancies from August 2026.
My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
Daily £45
After school rate £5.00 per hour min 4hrs.
Meals are optional and charged at an additional £2.00 per meal.

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at East Ardsley Primary Academy

I sent my daughter when she had just turned 1 years old. Amanda made sure my daughter settled in comfortably and met all her needs. 3 years later my daughter is thriving and is so confident. Amanda goes above and beyond and offers lots of support. Amanda is highly recommended.

Amanda is amazing both my kids have attended since around 9 month old oldest now been 13. My youngest still goes on morning and is a sen child, Amanda is brilliant with him having patience calmness and structure for him to be able regulate himself. My eldest still goes in holidays to say hello. Amanda treats all her kids with fairness and respect and will go up and beyond for any of them. I work full time early starts (6 o clock drop off) and she is more then accommodating. She is supportive and caring towards all kids and parents if support is needed! I would not send my children to anyone else.
