About Me
I have been happily married for the past 26 years and have three of my own children who are 26,23 and 18 years of age all are very supportive in my line of work. Our eldest works full time our 22 year old has graduated university and is working full time and our youngest is at secondary school. We have a warm,friendly and loving home.I find my job very rewarding and hope that all the children in my care feel at home.
My Experience
Apart from having three of my own children,I have been a registered Childminder now for 14 years.I have cared for a number of children in that time,from babies to school age, a mixture of full, part time and term time only. I am Ofsted registered with a grade of Outstanding 2009.I am also a member of PACEY(Professional Association of Childcare and Early Years) and a member of Bracknell Forest Quality Assured Childminding Scheme (The Orchard) ( unfortunately due to government funding cuts the Orchard was closed on the 3.2.16). I am also the chairperson of the local Bracknell and district childminders group so I regularly attend childminder drop ins and toddler groups so that the children in my care have an opportunity to mix and make friends with children of similar age.
I like to get out with the children daily whether it is to a park,play group or to a local play centre which they always seem to enjoy. My setting is all on one level , I have a spacious playroom that is designated to the childminding children so they can self select toys as well as doing adult led activities. However they do have use of all the down stairs area . Our back garden is also on one level which is perfect for playing in. We have a play house and a selection of outside toys and resources to keep growing minds entertained.
My Qualifications
Ofsted grade of Outstanding 2009
first part of CACHE level 3 diploma in homebased childcare.
Paediatric first aid.
Safegauarding children level 1and 2
Level 2 in food safety in catering.
I have also attended a number of different courses and keep my training up to date.
My Availability
I have 1 early years space (0-4) coming up from September 2023 one Tuesday -Thursday I can drop off and pick up at Birch Hill Nursery and South Hill Park pre school. I am able to offer 30 hours funding to eligible parents .

As a family we have been with Racheal since January 2014 and are really sad to be leaving her. She has been wonderful with both our children. The eldest has been with her since she was 9 months old (now nearly 6.5), the youngest since he turned 1 (now nearly 3 and going to school-based nursery full time). She and her family treat the kids as one of their own and she always has loads for them to do both inside and outside. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder.
