I worked in a nursery setting for 14 years with 2-5 years. Im currently with a family that I’ve been with more than 2 years. I’ve absolutely loved being part of their family but as the children start to move on, I’m looking at more hours. I absolutely thrive on watching children grow in confidence and learn new things each day through new and exciting experiences. I absolutely believe children learn best through play. I have my NVQ level 3 in childcare and development and through placements have worked with newborns to 5 years.

My Experience
I am currently with a family as a nanny 2 days a week. I’m in sole charge of 3 children age 3/5/8. My role with the family is to take children to groups and provide fun, stimulating activities. I help with school drop offs and pick up, then in the evening make the children’s meals. I also help around the house while the youngest sleeps, with light house work. I’m looking for more suitable hrs that fit around my own children. Before my current job my position at the nursery setting was assistant manager which involves working and directing staff, ensuring the environment is enabling for the children to learn and have fun. I have been on forest school training and believe children must explore and learn from our natural environment. I have fully DBS check. I have child protection certificate. I also have strong knowledge in letters and sounds and the areas of learning for children to develop. Having worked in a nursery setting for 14 years, I have had great relationships with many parents and children. Being involved in parents evening sharing my experiences with my parents to help their children develop.
