My Summary
About Me
I am an OFSTED registered graded 'GOOD' childminder in Leighton Buzzard on the clipstone park development and i live with my fiancé Garry and have two daughters, Khloe who is 8 and Kacey who is 6 years old. We also have a family dog of 2 years old called Dexter and he is a black Labrador. The open plan layout of our home allows me to be able to see children at all times, including should they wish to play in our all weather garden. I hold a full driving licence and I will be able to provide local school drop off's and pick ups but, please discuss this with me for details on schools.
I work in line with the requirements and expectations of the current EYFS Statutory Framework. I do learning journeys with the children so as a parent you can see what they get up to and their learning progress whilst in my care as well as having lots of fun.
Our home is within walking distance of local parks and other local amenities and I offer lots of different learning activities. We attend the childrens centre, soft play for 0-5 year olds, play gym and toddler groups.
I would like to share with you my report from Michelle Johnson, child development officer at Central Bedfordshire Council:
Well done Fay on completing the Central Bedfordshire Pre-registration Support visits. You have shown a high level of commitment and focussed attention in preparing for your registration visit from day one of meeting which I hope you are proud of. Your high knowledge of children’s early learning and development gained from your maternal experience and instinct will help you run a setting that will be considerate, warm, supportive and above all consistent. Your completion of the Childminder Training with Pacey has helped you understand your setting requirements and expectations in line with current EYFS Statutory Framework 2017.
Your setting is lovely, there is a lovely relaxed atmosphere and your calm approach further allows participants to relax and enjoy the setting’s resources and activities. The open plan space is ideal to provide children space to relax when they need and move freely between areas to allow them maximum experience. The added bonus with your setting layout is that you can see the children at all times, including should they wish to play in the all weather garden, this will help you support children according to their needs i.e. sit back and support as and when required allowing them to work things out for themselves. I have to make a special mention of the wonderful marine fish tank!! This extra addition will be of special benefit for those in attendance. It is fascinating to hear about all of the fish and other marine life, how the special tank works and how your partner Garry looks after them all. I am hopeful that Garry will be able to open this world up to the children also. It is amazing!!
Your home is also within close walkable proximity to local parks and the town which gives the children opportunity to extend their knowledge of their local community as well as make full use of the local community play spaces. From the ideas you have regarding setting routines, it is clear you are going to give the children maximum play and learning opportunity both inside and outside of your home.

I cannot recommend Fay highly enough! She has been an absolute gem in our lives. My daughter started with Fay when she was just under a year old, until recently as she has started pre-school. From the moment we met Fay, she was incredibly kind, helpful, and supportive. Her friendly demeanor made it so easy for my daughter to feel comfortable and happy in her care.
As a parent, it’s always nerve-wracking to leave your child with someone else, but with Fay, I never had any worries. She created a warm and nurturing environment where my daughter thrived. Her attention to detail and genuine care for the children are truly commendable.
What made the experience even more special was how lovely her own children were with my daughter. They were always so kind and welcoming, making her feel like part of the family. Plus, Fay has a gorgeous dog who my daughter absolutely adored and still talks about!
If you’re looking for a childminder who is not only professional but also genuinely loves what she does, look no further. Fay is simply the best!
Dori has started with Fay when he was just under 2 years old; he is now almost 4 and getting ready to start Reception in September.
Dori had a slight speech delay when he started. Fay had been extremely understanding and caring from the beginning and provided various activities to help him develop, and entertain him.
Eventually we have been seen by a paediatrician and Dori was diagnosed autistic. Fay has been right by our side every step of the way, implementing methods suggested by his SEND advisors, speech therapists and paediatric psychologist and staying in touch with them, accepting visits from them at the setting to evaluate Dori's progress.
I've had a different childminder for my older son, and she was also wonderful, but Fay is on a whole different level. She has gone above and beyond for us and Dori and I will forever be grateful to have found her. She has virtually become Dori's second mother and loves him like her own, and my son is happy to go to her every day.
We will be heartbroken leaving her for school in September.
I reccomend her with all my heart. If you want someone where you can leave your child and not have any anxiety or stress about how they're treated and what they're doing, it is her.
P.S. Their Dexter is also the most lovely and gentle and calm dog I've ever seen.

Thankyou for this lovely review! I too have very much enjoyed having Dori to care for. It has been a pleasure seeing him grow, change and develop and being a part of helping with his speech delay whilst working alongside other professionals who too have supported me. I will miss Dori and you too as a family but, its time for his new adventure now. I wish you all the best for the future. Fay x
My little girl started with Fay at 10 months old until now (16 months). We have recently relocated to a different area and we’re so sad to have to leave her settling. I feel so very grateful & lucky to have found Fay. My little girl has developed and grown so much confidence since being with Fay. Her settling is spotlessly clean and I feel confident that my little girl is cared for as well as if she were with family. Highly professional & experienced but with all of the home comforts. Fay has seen us through weaning, first steps & first words.
I have to start some personal details because I feel myself extremely lucky with Fay!
I am a single mum with a lot of problems. I am unfortunately completely alone with my baby girl and sometimes struggle with finances as well. So my life is stressful BUT....
My daughter has been coming to Fay since she's 11 months old, she's now 21 months. Fay is absolutely respectful of my daughter routine. Fay's is really good to help me with her development. I can see on my daughter that she is loves being with the childminder. My daughter is being always well looked after. Fay's family is wonderful and they have an amazing bond with my daughter so I couldn't be happier!
Fay's house is spotless clean and safe. Fay's communications is very kind, polite, friendly. I love the way how she is behave with the children. Fay's always updates me what my daughter has been up to and always gives her best for me. Very helpful with EVERYTHING!
I wouldn't go ever to anyone else. Fay's is make my life easier because the knowledge that my daughter is happy in very good hands... I think this is every parents wish.
So I can't thank her enough what she is doing for us and I will always have recommended Fay highly to other people!
My daughter has been with Fay for almost a year and I cannot fault her. My daughter loves seeing Auntie Fay and has a fantastic bond with Fay's children too. Fay is polite, kind, patient, accommodating and her house is both spotless and very child friendly. Fay also has a fabulous fish tank which our daughter loves.
Fay is respectful of each child's needs/routines. Our daughter has a nut/peanut allergy and I have never once had to worry about her being in Fay's care. Leaving your child with a stranger for the first time is always a daunting experience for both child and parent but we always felt at ease with Fay.
On pick up Fay always updates us on what our daughter has been up to and how she has been throughout the day. We cant thank her enough and have recommended her highly to others.

Thankyou for your review, it means a lot to know parents are happy with the care I give their child. Your daughter used to be upset when she first arrived but, it is so lovely to see her smiley face each time I open the door now. She has come along way over the months she has been with me and I have enjoyed seeing her change and develop into a lovely happy little girl.
