About Me
Greetings! My name is Allison; I have been a support system/partnership to many families over a number of years as a Ofsted registered Childminder /Nanny. I provide a loving, caring stimulating and secure environment for children from all nationalities and backgrounds. I’ve had three inspections and was awarded a GOOD every time; my last inspection was January 2018. I’ve have been living in Balham for over 15 years with my 18 year old daughter. She is still in full time education at a nearby college and has been full DBS checked.
My Experience
I have a great understanding of the EYFS and of the developmental stages children go through and I will support them so they meet their full potential in both educational and emotional development in a fun and loving environment. I provide a wide range of toys, books, puzzles and activities e.g. printing, play dough, massy play, cooking and visiting playgroups, local parks, soft play, city farms libraries and museums so the children can also build friendships outside the setting. I take photograph and do observations so I can track and plan each child’s development and is available to take home so the children can show their families. I promote good behaviour by encouraging and praising the children and I am very fair by carefully explaining my rules and expectations. I prepare healthy and fresh breakfast, lunch, dinners and snacks every day and I’m happy to accommodate any special dietary requirement.
