Hello, I’m Lucie, a self-employed nanny based in Marlow, with over 25 years’ experience caring for children.
I believe children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and free to explore the world at their own pace. I love following their interests, nurturing their curiosity, and creating calm, happy days together - whether that’s through messy play, baking, nature walks, or getting lost in a good story.
My days are intentionally paced and balanced - from creative play and baking to time outdoors and quiet moments with crafts, always with a focus on creating a positive, unhurried atmosphere.
I provide gentle, consistent structure with clear and kind boundaries, helping children feel secure and confident. I naturally encourage good manners, respect, and empathy in a way that feels appropriate for each child’s age and stage of development.
I’m organised, reliable, and experienced in caring for multiple children. I work closely with parents to ensure routines, values, and expectations are aligned, creating a consistent and reassuring environment for your little ones.
Above all, I am kind, patient, nurturing, and loving. At home, I live with my husband and our two children, aged 7 and 5. Being a parent myself brings a deeper understanding of family life, and the importance of feeling completely confident in your childcare.
I am registered and vetted with nanny agencies across Buckinghamshire and London.
My Experience
Over the last two decades, I've had the pleasure of working around the home counties, London and Europe.
I have extensive experience caring for newborns and over the years I have cared for many toddlers and school age children.
I apply my skill set to each child accordingly, dependant on their age and personality.
From my years of experience I understand that every child is very different and no two families are the same. I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of people over the years from different backgrounds which has furthered my understanding of children and given me the opportunity to learn and adapt to different parenting styles.
I have cared for twins, children with SEN and have also worked in nurseries and crèches.
I have worked with children with strict food allergies and dietary requirements and have a good knowledge and understanding of children's health and nutrition.

Lucie came to look after our daughter (18month year old) during a period of transition where childcare was a bit tricky with mine and my husband’s work shifts. She was a perfect fit - responsible, engaging and really focused on both our daughter and family’s needs! Our daughter has some medical issues and Lucie made sure she understood and worked with us so we felt she was in safe and secure hands. She also was a complete natural - our daughter warmed to her immediately at the first meeting which is not the norm as she can be quite wary and shy! My daughter has come on leaps and bounds with Lucie’s individual care in terms of her motor and communication skills. I am so happy to have met Lucie as she is just so lovely and could not have been more helpful at a tricky time, and we are sad to not be working with her regularly anymore (purely for logistical reasons but we will definitely be asking for babysitting soon!)

We are incredibly fortunate to have Lucie as our nanny. She has become an irreplaceable part of our family, and we cannot say enough about the love and care she provides for our children. The kids absolutely adore her, and it's easy to see why.
We first started working with Lucie adhoc after my Dad passed suddenly to help with our then 3 year old and 10 month old. We soon realised that we needed Lucie on a much more permanent basis. We would have not been able to get through the last 2 years without her.
Lucie goes above and beyond every day, taking them to the most wonderful places, creating memorable experiences, and fostering a sense of adventure and curiosity.
But what truly sets her apart is the genuine love she has for our children—she treats them as if they were her own. This deep bond gives us peace of mind knowing that they are in the best possible hands. We are so grateful for everything Lucie does and couldn't imagine our lives without her.

Lucie has been babysitting for us since October 2016 and I can not recommend her enough.
Lucie has a natural caring nature and our two boys (aged 5 and 11) love spending time with her.
She is very reliable, punctual, caring and great fun - our boys jump for joy when they know Lucie is babysitting - we are lucky to have found Lucie and look forward to seeing a lot more of her :)
