My Experience

I have been working with children for 15 years. I have previously worked in 2 nursery settings, as a teaching assistant, a nanny and most recently as a childminder. I love working with children and can not imagine doing anything else in life. Having worked in nurseries, I have good knowledge of health and safety as well as dietary requirements and allergies. My role as nursery nurse required me to plan age appropriate activities on a daily basis. I love thinking of new and exciting activities. Although nursery work was very enjoyable, I feel that I would be more suited to being a nanny as I would be able to focus my attention, love and care better.

I have worked as a nanny before looking after four girls aged 4, 6, 7 and 11. I helped them get ready for school, made breakfast and lunches, then walked them to school. I collected them from school and helped with homework and cooked dinner. I also did light housework. Once a week I took the children to dance class too.

My most recent work was as a childminder. I looked after 4 children from 2 families. I had been caring for the eldest (8 years old) full time since she was 9 months old. I took all of the children to school/nursery after giving them breakfast and pick them up from school. I also regularly did light housework for the parents. The children are all now in full time education.

I am currently working as a childminder for an 11yr old that I drop to and collect from Newbury Park Station every day. I can offer pick up and drop offs in this area and surrounding areas as well as after school care.

My Qualifications

I have a university degree in Applied Linguistics and Education and Community Development (class of 2008).

I am currently not ofsted registered but I am willing to undertake this if you wish.

My Availability

I am available during the week. I am also available overnight.

• Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
• Nannying from £10.00 per hour (gross)
