As a professional Artist, with years of experience in the third sector, I use creativity as an engagement, communication, and learning tool.
Adapting resources, equipment, and materials to suit the child's interests, needs, and capabilities, I'm skilled at unlocking their curiosity, then building on that.
Calm, patient, and an excellent reader of non-verbal language, I'm skilled at connecting, and developing relationships, especially with children who struggle with this.
Encouraging, adaptable and a creative thinker, I'm skilled at identifying and drawing out talents, skills and interests.

My Experience
I understand the pressure, expectations and conflicting emotions that can come from caring for a child who has special needs. I've worked with PTSD child refugees, those on the spectrum, children with physical disabilities, and those with a variety of challenges that were supported by Children in Need funding.
My own Son is now 27; there were times when help and support would have been benefited me, and I've never forgotten that...
I set up one of the first Intergenerational groups in Inverclyde. It was commended by the Care Inspectorate, and a film of the project was nominated for a Corra award.
I have a PVG and public liability insurance.

Trained to deliver Cognitive Stimulation Therapy.
