About Me
My name is Peter I am a parent of a 19 year old. I have been registered as a childminder with Ofsted for over 13years.
I live in the Walton area of Chesterfield.
I provide a caring, secure environment which is safe yet fun, providing a full range of activities, toys and equipment to help your child fulfil their potential.
Living close to the park and woods we love going on adventures and also further afield, going rock hopping at curbar, visiting the wonders of Chatsworth and Longshaw and many local parks.
My aim is working along with parents to help their child to become confident, positive and self reliant by the time they start reception school aswell as helping them learn the knowledge and capabilities they need when they are there.

My Experience
I have raised my daughter by myself since birth.
I trained for one year with another childcare provider whilst studying for my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and development.
I have been childminding for just over 13 years, and cared for children as young as 3months.
Working in partnership with parents, and following the EYFS, i plan the setting and activities around your child to help them learn and develop through their play. I record what they do and achieve, and from these i plan their next steps.
The aim is to help your child reach their Early Learning Goals.
We like to play outside as much as we can, we play in the rear garden, or go to the local parks or for adventures in the local woods so we can explore the outside environments.
Trips are also taken to Little Monkeys soft play area, Chatsworth House adventure play ground and farm as well as the gardens. Trips to the Libary and town and the local supermarket.
My Qualifications
I have completed my NVQ level 3 in childcare and development
Other qualitifications include:
Paediatric first aid
Child protection awareness.
Basic food hygienne.
Observation Technniques in the Early Years Foundation Stage in Childcare Settings
BIT course

School pick-ups/ drop offs: £6.50 for before or after school sessions.

My son has being going to Peter for almost a year following the amazing time both my brother and sister had while being looked after by him. He is absolutely fantastic with him. I’ve been so fortunate with how flexible he’s been and how much my son adores his time there, everyday is filled with playing, activities and little adventures. Cannot thank him enough!

We were so fortunate to find Peter, when I returned to work and both Wills and Albie who was with Peter for 3 years after Wills left, adore him. He is so flexible and provides an amazing atmosphere for kids to develop whilst having fun. I could not recommend him highly enough.

Peter really is the the best childminder ever! He has taken care of both of my children since they were babies right up until they were ready for school. He is caring, approachable and nothing is ever an issue. He constantly has the kids out and about enjoying the outdoors. Both my children adored Peter and still ask about him now. I can hand on heart say I would have been lost without him and would highly recommend him to anyone that asks. Just a shame that I’m not having any more as if I were Peter certainly would be my first choice of childminder. :)
