Registered childminder I am the mother of three lovely children 12, 14&15and have a supportive husband who works in primary education. I have worked with children all of my adult life as a live in and live out nanny, teaching assistant and mother. I believe that it is in early childhood that the foundations for healthy adults are built and that because of this our children need exposure to a variety of opportunities and experiences. Through play, both indoors and out, visits to other places, interaction with other people and even everyday experiences (like visiting the supermarket) children develop culture, confidence, acceptance of people’s differences and life skills. I am offering term time only care (although I will be flexible in the last week of August for teachers).
I have 29 years experience working with children from birth to 15 years having trained as a nanny in 1991.
I enjoy spending time with children of all ages and have a network of wonderful childminding friends and a good knowledge of activities in the local area.

Barb looked after my 8 month old son when I returned to work and I couldn’t have asked for a better person or setting to leave him in.
Her calm and caring nature meant my son was instantly happy and relaxed in her company.
Her house is designed perfectly to allow the children she’s looking after to engage in play whilst being part of a family setting.
Barb creates a lovely routine throughout the week, with plenty of outdoor play, play groups and craft activities.
My little boy progressed with all his development hugely whilst with Barb and this is solely due to the care she provided.

Thank you. It was a pleasure having him here and he is welcome back if your circumstances change.
