About Me
My name is Farzana Kosar – I am a Ofsted registered Childminder with 11 years experience
I provide a safe, warm, homely and stimulating environment for children to play, learn and have fun. I have a large garden where children can develop and explore with lots of toys/garden equipment to play on. Furthermore I offer educational learning activities, art and craft and extensive resources where children can learn through play, with plenty of toys/games for all ages/genders.I encourage all children to become sociable, caring and independent individuals. I take children out every day to explore the local park, playgroups, woodlands, and shops. Children will be able to take part in cooking and creative activities.
Children will have daily fresh air and outdoor play in my garden i have a sand and water tray, bikes, trikes and ride along toys.
I have children of my own and I understand how hard it is to have to leave your child and I will do my very best to settle you child and reassure you that your child will be happy, having fun, learning, safe and all their needs will be cared for. we use babysdays safe online system which parents can see a daily dairy for children under 5 as well as observation and and progress for their child.
My Experience
I trained to be a nursery nurse and I have worked for Woodberry nursery in Southampton and Greenside Nursery I gave up working in the nursery when my daughter was born , I trained as a child minder because I want to work from home .
Being a parent and working in both nursery is where i have gained most of my experience, I have lots of experience by working in the nursery and looking after children.
I have worked as a babysitter as well as working in a daycare nursery.
My Qualifications
I have the following qualifications relevant to childminding,
Introduction to Childminding Practice, Pediatric First Aid, Health & Safety, Food hygiene
I have a childcare qualification in the new level 3 diploma in children and young peoples workforce.
I also hold a B-Tec GNVQ Health and social care
and a GNVQ in Early years care and Education.
Full Ofsted Registration
Enhanced CRB check
Up to date Paediatric First Aid certificate
Food Safety and Hygiene certificate
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Every Child a Talker (ECaT)
Incredible Years - parenting course
Pediatric First Aid
At my latest Ofsted inspection n 2023 I have a rating of GOOD.
My Availability
I can offer flexible hours
Child care is available , weekends, school holidays, after school care, local school pick-up s /I provide overnight care too.
I am happy to care for children up to the aged of 2 months to 13years
Opening hours Monday- Friday: 6am-7pm But can be very flexible
I am willing to work weekends and any holidays. I can be flexible with my days/hours to suit you.

Last year we were looking for a help with our 3years old (at that time) boy. It was tough choice, as I wanted the best person who is looking after him and the best atmosphere where he would feel comfortable. We found all that requirements with Farzana and Shabana.
We started in September, 2016 until end of June, 2017.
It was absolutely great time with those lovely women! He enjoyed to be with them and just loved Farzana.
Even though he found there many friends.
Many times when we asked him how he is feeling- he always was happy and excited.
They learned many useful things. They also had made many crafting.
Oh, and they didn't missed his birthday - with present for him! He was extremely happy ?
With one word - Great place!
The only reason he is not going there, is because of the school.

Farzana has cared for my son since he turned one and has always been gentle with him - she supports his interests and is creative in thinking of ideas to help him to learn (with the cars available if necessary!). She works with her sister so there is always cover and they obviously love and care for the children in their home. Important selling points for me at the start included a separate room for nap times and the willingness to cuddle my boy to sleep (though she soon taught him to not need her lap without tears!). Now my son is two he hapoily waves me goodbye and always has things to tell me at the end of the day. I'm glad I persevered to find Farzana - she was worth the hunt!
