About Me
## About Me
Experienced Maternity Nurse, Birth Doula & Baby Specialist
Hello! I am a passionate, highly experienced caregiver with over 10 years of NHS experience as a former Band 6 Midwife. Combining my clinical background with over 30 years of personal experience as a mother of four and grandmother to six, I offer premium, continuity-led care to support you through your parenting journey.
I am available for 24-hour Live-In or Live-Out Maternity Nursing, Birth Doula support, and private, informal 1-to-1 Parent Education classes. I love travelling to support families across the UK (rural locations welcome) and internationally.
(Please note: I am currently taking a break from the NMC register to care for my family, but I will be undertaking my Return to Practice midwifery course next year. This September, I am also starting my Master’s degree (MSc) in Psychology and am a student member of the British Psychological Society).

## My Philosophy & What I Offer Parents
My practice is deeply rooted in the philosophies of natural birth pioneers Ina May Gaskin (Spiritual Midwifery), Sheila Kitzinger, and Dr. Michel Odent. Inspired by their work, I believe that birth and early postpartum are sacred transitions. Wherever I am caring for a family, I strive to safeguard a peaceful, tranquil space—"mothering the mother" so she can heal, rest, and bond instinctively.
* Expert Feeding Support: Specialist guidance on breastfeeding, expressing, or formula feeding to help your baby develop, gain weight, and thrive.
* Postnatal Healing & Routine: Facilitating smooth physical recovery, reducing the likelihood of postnatal depression, and establishing gentle routines tailored entirely around your family's needs.
* Holistic Care: Offering Angelic Reiki treatments, Baby Massage instruction, and mindfulness/meditation techniques for calmer births and babies.
* Birth Advocacy: A strong advocate for Home, Water, and Active Births, ensuring women are empowered to make informed choices.
* Premium Household Support: Ensuring you get vital time to rest by assisting with organizing, decluttering, and cooking nutritious international meals, specializing in authentic Bangladeshi cuisine.
## Specialist Bereavement & Pregnancy Loss Support
I provide deeply compassionate, non-judgmental support for women experiencing pregnancy loss. Whether you are navigating a miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal bereavement, or going through a medical termination, I am here to stand by you, listen, and offer a safe, dignified space to process your experience.

## About Me Personally
Now that my four children are adults, I have the time and devotion to offer other families. I love my own company, but I also thrive in a big family dynamic! In my free time, I love walking and hiking in the countryside, enjoying the outdoors, reading, and writing poetry. I am a warm, chatty person and an active listener, completely dedicated to adapting my care around your family's exact routine.

Very reliable and friendly lady. We were looking for a babysitter that we could depend on at short notice as well and Lisa also fits the bill.
Lisa is a bright and knowledgeable person and very easy to get on with. Would not hesitate to use her again.
