Sen: Looking For Kind And Fun Help With 3 Beautiful Boys - Minecraft & Roblox Proficiency A Plus!
About Me
Hello! We're a family of five, moved to Banbury last year. Mum (Philippa), is full time at home with our three boys ages 4, 6 and 9, who are all home (un)schooled.
My Requirements
We’re looking for a unique and empathetic individual - someone with experience and understanding of ASD and ideally Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) - to come and help with our three boys.
We're a chilled (as much as we can be!) home educating family who love hanging out at home and in the local area. Our boys are only truly relaxed and regulated around equals and friends (they are most comfortable around their cousins, aged 10 to 13) - we are looking for someone to befriend them, ignoring the fact that this is a 'job', listen to them, play with them, give them patience, understanding and love like a big(ger) sister or brother. Discipline, rules, routines, mealtimes, bedtimes... are all mostly out the window! If you feel you could sit by yourself and play their games until they feel safe enough to join you, you could be the right fit!
The eldest two are big into Minecraft and Roblox and we'd love to find someone who knows how to play and can engage them both in their safe space and help them to build confidence, both online, and outside of tablets. Our youngest is full of energy and just wants someone to play with and listen to him (his brothers don't give him much attention!).
We’re looking for someone for one or two mornings or afternoons (or a combo) per week - approx 4-8 hours per week. Experience with SEN/ Neurodiversity would be a bonus, but not essential - if this sounds like a good fit please get in touch, we'd love to hear from you/ meet for a quick chat! Thanks, Ben & Philippa
