About Me

We are looking for a kind, reliable proxy parent / nanny to support our family with three lovely children aged 15, 14 and 10.

The care would be occasional, with plenty of advance notice given. Typically, support is needed about once every six weeks, for 2–3 consecutive nights, and may occasionally include a weekend. This arrangement is expected to run for approximately the next six months.

The role

Our children attend full-time school. Responsibilities would include:
   •   School collection at 5.00pm, driving the children home and helping them settle in
   •   Bringing school bags into the house and organising any sports kit or laundry
   •   Packing school bags for the next day
   •   Supervising homework and managing screen time
   •   Preparing and clearing up dinner
   •   Supporting evening routines, including washing and getting ready for bed
   •   Morning routine: getting the children up, providing breakfast, and preparing them for school
   •   School drop-off at 7.40am to arrive by 8.00am

Practical details
   •   A driver with their own car is required (mileage paid at 45p per mile)
   •   Start date: February 2026, with shadowed sessions beforehand
   •   Accommodation: Comfortable spare room with a double bed and shared bathroom
   •   Salary: Negotiable
