About Me

Hello! I'm Caroline at Caroline's Creative Childminding.

I am currently advertising spaces for September 2023, as one of my amazing mindees has moved to a different area. I have spaces available Tuesday-Friday, part or full time, and accepted funded children, payments with vouchers or using childcare choices, among others. This is a rare opening, since I have not had any spaces available since March 2019, with my original families continuing to access care for new siblings.

I've worked as an Ofsted registered childminder since 2018, and have a wealth of previous experience in early years, working with children with additional needs and caring for my own 2 wonderful children. I am graded Good by Ofsted and received really positive written feedback about my practice and setting. I have cared for children at all ages of the Early Years, and have seen a number of children though their pre-school year.

I decided to become a childminder simply because I love working with children! I work hard to build caring, secure relationships with all my little ones to allow me to support their learning and development in the best possible way.

We explore the world and environment everyday in my setting, with a wealth of resources and toys in my home, and free-flow access to a secure outdoor play area. Additionally we access the amazing opportunities we have on our door-step weekly; exploring in the woods, challenging our physical skills at the park and playcentres, developing our social skills, confidence and independence in large playgroups and expanding our knowledge, visiting libraries, museums, Sealife centres, zoos, farms, beaches, the list goes on!

One of the most amazing parts of being a childminder, is that I am able to focus my attention a lot more on each of my children’s individual needs a lot more that big, noisy settings. I can observe the children's play, enhance it, challenge it and nurture their imagination, to help them develop further, without them even realising! My foremost aim is to always ensure the children feel cared for, happy and safe in my home environment, so they are able to reach their full potential.

Where a child may need that little bit extra focused support I have training and experience in Early Years special educational needs, which allows me to go this extra mile for them. I also regularly liaise with other professionals in the field, and can access support and guidance for the Early Years Team. I have built my care on my own knowledge gained from my education and many years of experience in the early years field. I hold a Post-Graduate Certificate in Early Years Practice and Early Years Teacher (Status). This means I not only care for children but have a deeper understanding of the fundamental aspects of child development around attachment and learning, but I can embed this easily into my everyday practice.
