About Me
I am currently looking for a local childcare job during school hours. I have a 4 year old who will start school in September and an 18 month old daughter who attends nursery 3 days a week (tues-thurs) who could come with me to work the other 2 days.
I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2019 studying Illustration. Previously I spent 2 years training full-time in Aerial Acrobatics at the National Centre for Circus Arts in London before working as an Early Years teaching assistant at Latchmere Primary School, Kingston. I am passionate about both art and circus, I believe that the playfulness and physicality of circus and the creativity and expressiveness of art are hugely enriching elements of a child's development, and I bring both of these to my childcare. I run a small design business creating and selling hand drawn products.
My Experience
I have over 10 years of experience as a nanny with children from newborn to 12 years and 1 year of experience as an Early Years teaching assistant in a nursery and primary school. My priority has been enabling the children in my care to feel secure and nurtured in a consistent and serene environment, while encouraging them to explore imaginatively and physically. I am strong and energetic, punctual and reliable, and very happy to organise and participate in activities and take children to play groups and on play dates. I am trained in Early Years, DBS checked and have a clean driving licence and access to a car.
