Hi all my name is Kym and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder in East London/ Poplar area. I live with my partner and two lovely boys. Before childminding I’ve had a few rewarding career paths, Human Resources Supervisor; Visual Merchandiser and Assistant Manager all in Retail. Following almost seven years in an office role and two children later, I decided to enter the exciting world of childminding.
As a busy mother of two, I am well aware of the demands and responsibilities involved in caring for children. I have no doubt that the experiences that I have gained and bringing up my own children help me in my role as a childminder. Believe me when I say, I understand how hard and daunting it could be looking for a loving environment for your little one whilst balancing work life which can be stressful.
I am very passionate in offering a high standard of care surrounding the EYFS providing a home from home environment where each child can feel safe, play, laugh and grow. I have a very creative background so our days are packed with fun filled activities to keep those curious and adventurous minds occupied i.e going to the park, library, playgroups, zoo, museums, sewing, cooking and much more. I am looking forward in hopefully taking care of your little one please feel free to contact me and we could have a chat about your requirements further.
My Experience
I believe that the following have given me the experience & skills I have gained so far:
(1) I have a very creative background, I will utilise my artistic talents and ideas when doing art and craft with the children,
(2) I have the experience of being a mother of children who have been cared for by a childminder, nursery and after school care. I am therefore able to identify areas of the service which has been successful and learn from the areas where I feel improvements could be made.
(3) I am a fit and active individual with plenty of energy to provide children with a stimulating environment with a wide varity of fun and educational activities.
